A new year, and a new resolution

Here’s Cho, sitting on the bottom shelf of the “ladder” going up the wall we built for her to explore. So far she’s limited her exploration to the bottom step, but no doubt one day she’ll brave her way to the top.
Happy New Year! It’s been too long, I know, and one of my resolutions is to post more regularly here. So many of our friends and family a far away from us, and this is such a great format for us to continue to share our lives with you. I’ll get better at it, I promise!
I hope that you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s celebration. Matt and I had just a few people over for thanksgiving, and I worked both Christmas and New Year’s days— very low-key holidays indeed!
The weather in Austin in really something: one day it’s 35F, the next day it’s 70F. Nit that I’m complaining— it’s January, and we have yet to use any heat in the house! Unheard of, this time if year in Oregon.
Today, my day off, Matt and I will walk up South 1st Street to a taco cart we enjoy, and eat some tacos!
