Cho seems really fond, and proud, of her new traveling hut. When she’s not curled up on her little pillow inside it, she’s sitting next to it, or in front of it, as if to say,
“This is MINE, bishes!”
Does anyone have advice for us about long-distance traveling with a cat?

Yesterday we brought Kashiko and Cho to McMinnville to spend the next week and a half with Ellen and Ron while we’re in Houston. The pets seem to think of it as vacation on the farm, and they’ve settled right into the flow of things there, or so we’ve heard.

I’ve been up since 3:30 am, anxiously packing and repacking in preparation for our anniversary vacation to Newport.
Chico’s Squeaky Squirrel, CHECK
Cho’s Jingle Mouse (the white one), CHECK
Chico’s Peppermint flavored Tums (he doesn’t like the berry flavor), CHECK
Cho’s Hidey Hole (cardboard box with a hole cut in it), CHECK
Not to mention packing myself and Matt!
We’ll leave this afternoon for McMinnville, where our brother Chris will take care of Cheeky and The Cheese. Tonight we’ll stay in McMinnville, then drive over to Newport tomorrow morning. Saturday all the way through to next Friday at the Elizabeth Street Inn! I’m hoping that it will be relaxing and fun. No airports, so that’s a plus.
The camera is packed, and I plan to fully document every adventure

We’re leaving tomorrow afternoon for McMinnville… but Cho has to stay home alone : (
The weather should be perfect for a ride through wine country, and even Matt—notoriously ambivalent towards horses and riding them—is looking forward to the “novelty” of the event. We’re celebrating our birthdays (late because of rainy weather earlier in the year) with Ellen and Ron, who we haven’t seen… in a while. At least since Christmas, I think.
Maybe we’ll even get to spend some time with our favorite little brother (Chris).
Kashiko is going to hang out with his girlfriend Tenoshi, and getting a bath in the horse barn. He’s overdue!
I plan to take lots of pictures on the ride, and will have lots to post on Sunday : )
